Since 2006, Ezra Furman and the Harpoons have been working tirelessly to create songs that capture the beauty, despair, magic and mystery that exposes all that we are, human. They want to expose our inner workings into songwriting and symmetry that defines the wildness of life. On their website, the first belt on the song player: “I wrote this song in a paper bag” on “We Should Fight” helps lead the momentum this band continues to keep steady and rockin’. Signed by Chicago’s own Minty Fresh Records in 2007, Ezra and crew have continued to produce songs that can’t help you swing your hips and tap your feet.
Ezra Furman and the Harpoons will be playing on the Chicago Bluegrass and Blues stage at Metronome festival Sunday June 7.
